Kokpekty Project

Overview:

The Kokpekty licence, comprised of Kokpekty, Kokpekty West, Kokpekty East, and Quryiq, is located in the Abay Region of East Kazakhstan, 20 km west of Kokpekty village, and is easily accessible adjacent to the M-38 highway. The licence covers a total area of 449 km².

The licence is supported by strong regional infrastructure, featuring robust power grid connectivity and convenient access to the national rail network, including fully electrified rail lines located nearby for efficient transport.

Exploration Highlights:

  • The property hosts multiple targets displaying Norilsk-style features

  • The licences feature excellent outcrop and host copper and nickel soil geochemical anomalies, allowing for the direct detection of key geological intrusions

  • Recently completed magnetic survey at the Kokpekty West licence confirmed the extension of outcropping intrusions beneath shallow cover and successfully identified multiple bifurcation points, which serve as key focal points for potential high-grade sulphide mineralization in chonolith pipes

  • Electromagnetic survey conducted in 2024 captured only a small subset of the entire portfolio

Key Outcropping Targets:

Koitas and Petropavlovka targets exhibit highly favourable geological indicators for mineralization. Surface outcrops display the classic hallmarks of a partially eroded, prospective chonolith pipe-like intrusion. Notably, the presence of taxite at the picrite-dolerite boundaries provides strong evidence of the magmatic conditions essential for copper-nickel sulphide formation.
